The Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC) is a Statutory Corporation established by the Investment and Export Promotion Act of 2024. It is mandated to promote and facilitate investment and exports in Malawi, facilitate allocation of land to investors and regulate, implement, monitor, and supervise all aspects of special economic zones.
MITC’s Investment Promotion and Facilitation function focuses on promoting investment opportunities in Malawi, attracting both domestic and foreign investments into targeted growth sectors. Key sectors include:
