Who Are We?.
The Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC) is the single-window government authority mandated to promote and facilitate trade and investment in Malawi under the Investment and Trade Act (2024), MITC connects investors and businesses to verified opportunities across key sectors of the economy.
Exporting & Trade.
MITC also plays a pivotal role in advancing Malawi’s export agenda. The Centre supports Malawian enterprises to enhance the competitiveness of locally produced goods and services in regional and international markets, while facilitating market access through targeted export development programmes that link exporters to buyers, distributors, and global trade platforms.
What We Do.
The Centre provides professional services to both local and international investors and actively markets Malawi as a competitive and attractive investment destination. MITC plays a strategic role in identifying, developing, and packaging investment opportunities across priority sectors of the Malawian economy.
One Stop Centre.
MITC provides technical support, including guidance on export procedures, standards compliance, certification requirements, and product packaging and branding to meet international market demands. The Centre also promotes Malawi’s participation in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and business-to-business engagements, creating opportunities for local businesses to showcase their products, secure partnerships, and expand into new markets.
