MITC Strengthens Investor and Exporter Engagement at the 36th Malawi International Trade Fair
The Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC) successfully participated in the 36th Malawi International Trade Fair (MITF), held in Blantyre from 21 to 29 May 2026. As one of Malawi’s premier national platforms for trade and investment promotion, the Fair provided an important opportunity to showcase the country’s investment potential, export-ready products, and industrial capabilities.
MITC participated through a dedicated exhibition pavilion designed to promote its core mandate in investment promotion and facilitation, trade promotion and facilitation, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and One Stop Service Centre (OSSC) services. The pavilion served as a strategic engagement hub for investors, exporters, SMEs, manufacturers, and members of the public seeking information on investment procedures, export opportunities, and business support services.
Throughout the Fair, MITC recorded strong stakeholder engagement and visibility. The Centre distributed promotional materials highlighting investment and trade facilitation services, conducted interviews with local producers to assess product offerings and export readiness, and received direct inquiries from prospective investors and exporters.
The MITC pavilion attracted consistent interest from stakeholders across multiple sectors, reinforcing the growing demand for structured investment facilitation and export development support. Engagements provided practical guidance on market entry processes, investment registration, and export development pathways, positioning MITC as a key national reference point for investment and trade information.
The Fair also provided valuable insights into investor and exporter needs, particularly the importance of continuous engagement platforms, improved pavilion visibility, and enhanced service accessibility during national exhibitions. These insights will inform future participation strategies to further strengthen MITC’s impact at major trade events.
