The Malawi Consulate in Johannesburg has organized a one day business event where Malawi will show case investment and trade opportunities to potential investors. The event, which is scheduled for Wednesday the 14th of August, is geared towards creating awareness of investment and trade opportunities available in Malawi.

The Malawi Investment and Trade Centre is expected to present the trade and investment opportunities to the gathering.

MITC’s Public Relations Manager, Deliby Chimbalu, said the event is a good platform to raise awareness of Malawi’s business opportunities.

‘As MITC this is a good platform to market the various opportunities that are available in Malawi for both investment and trade. It is also an event that will foster establishing of business networks, sharing information as well as identification of possible joint venture partners.’ She explained.

The Malawi Consulate in Johannesburg has organized the event in conjunction with the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI).

It is expected that officials from the Malawi’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism will attend the event alongside Private sector companies from Malawi.

Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC), is a statutory corporation mandated to promote trade and investment in Malawi. The institution works tirelessly to attract foreign direct investment and find markets for exports products.
